Hi! I manage a convenience store and always eyeball all the change coming through very carefully. This one caught my eye and I'm not sure exactly this would be categorized as. I thought maybe a Dryer Coin but the reeded edge is in perfect shape. Anyone with more knowleage than me care to educate a dummy? lol thank you!

Others may have more insight.

most of the 5 and the lower half of the 8 are worn down a lot and the "we" is almost unreadable. The other side is perfect except the "me" in the word dime is worn down considerably. Its hard to capture in a photo but very obvious in person. Thank you so much for your help fuzzy317, I am very appreciative

Normal "for that year" coin. Most have a mushy look to them.

From your close up on the reeding it appears to indicate a very slight mis-aligned dies. Interesting, but it is within tolerance and would carry no premium.

But it only costs a dime to keep
