This dime looks filled! Can anyone explain why, around the edge, it looks like an oreo cookie? Silver is not ridged (im probably using all the wrong terms I'm new to this) but between the silver its darker and ridged. Hopefuly my images show what I'm talking about.

That's interesting. I don't really know the answer, but I think it's some form of of PMD (Post Mint Damage which means it happened outside of the Mint). More pictures of full obverse and reverse are needed to tell what happened to it.

Its acid. Not sure which kind, but eats the copper away quicker.

@Basilcat, first welcome to CCF. Second, I agree that your coin has been treated with acid and has no extra value beyond ten cents. You can find several examples of prior posts using the search function in the upper left hand corner of the website. Here is one example:
