I am not a Morgan dollar or VAM expert, but the spacing between the starts at Liberty's chin don't seem consistent.

The date and mint mark match VAM-3.

There appear to be some discrepancies between this coin and VAM-3:
the first C in the mintmark looks open here, and closed/almost a circle in VAM-3
the berry on the inside of the leaf above the N E gap is present here, and is missing on VAM-3

There's enough to worry about here so that I'm not touching it until I can see the doubling around 90 in hand. Fuzzy's points are valid, but I have to note that there's a gap in a "good" coin between the berry he mentioned and the branch, into which dark crud can lodge and create the appearance of more space than there actually is. Good eyes, buddy.

I don't think there's enough conclusive evidence to report it to ebay as a fake if I saw it there, but I wouldn't spend my own money on it.

I've bought and sold a few of these in various grades, all NGC or PCGS.

This coin just looks wrong. The date, with all the crud, also looks odd to me.

I'm not a VAMer, but I would pass on this one.

I have a counterfeit of this issue, and it sports the 1921 obverse. This COPY makes the one Bobby posted seem more on the authentic side, but there are variations even among counterfeits.

Looks like a genuine VAM 3 to me. Obv/rev hub types are correct, correct wing-neck gap, date is far and curved with the 1 in the proper position relative to the denticle below its left base, MM matches the V3 plate coins. It appears to have been heavily cleaned and/or dipped at some point and is just starting to retone, and still has a lot of "gunk" trapped in between the letters (look at the reverse motto.)
