I've been on and off this forum for a long time and I haven't even introduced myself yet! Well, I'm a 17 year old from a very small town in Saskatchewan Canada. The moment I got into collecting is when my mom showed me her small collection of coins her uncle brought over from Europe during WWII. From there I searched through our house looking through jars of coins trying to find the oldest ones. My dad also owns a small gas station and he often gets random coins from around the world and often some really old stuff.(once he got a 1899 penny) I mostly collect Canadian coins and ancient coins right now. My obsession with ancient coins started after I won my first ebay auction. Since then I've been completely hooked. I really just felt like I should introduce myself after being on this website for quite some time. |

 great to have you! I'm a 17 year old collector as well, but allll the way over in Ontario!  extremely excited to have you here! especially as a young collector anddddd a Canadian! I hope we see you around here for a long time to come!..even if you did register in 2014 Feel free to call me Will.

Well, it's about time! We always enjoy welcoming New members.
Getting a nice little collection has a tendency to get you interested. Do you collect any other items? Is your Dad contributing what he finds? How do you protect your coins? 2X2s? Air tights? Albums? Watch for coins in the wild. Coin return slots, coinstar reject slots, and on the ground. If you see a coin in which you are interested in someones cash drawer, don't be bashful, ask if you may see it. Even in a bank. It never hurts to ask.
Never clean modern coins.
Secure your collection from friends that may 'borrow' coins.
Please stay out of cars with drunk drivers.
Ask any question, you will receive honest answers and I often learn from the replies.
