Can anyone help me identify this 1966 penny if its an error or just damage for being in circulation. All comments welcome. Its no glue I tryed taking it off...its metal.

That's glue, has discolored the NW area and seems to be peeling off, just PMD.

@rayray, first welcome to CCF. Second, I agree with @TNG and @TBOP that this looks a lot like someone added solder to your coin. Interesting to look at (and keep if you want), but only worth one cent.

It also looks like solder to me, not an error.

I too agree it's solder. The discolored area extending from "LIBERTY" into "IN" is flux.
