Not a DDO. It is the common master die hub doubling found on most 1972's.

Well, from what I learned yesterday, thank you Coop! It looks more like Machine Doubling. This is the pic of what Coop showed me yesterday.

We'll use the "N" in "IN" as an example.

See how the "doubling" around the N is larger than the original letter? On the left side, it almost forms a complete outline. This is not possible with true die doubling - the "double" must be an exact copy of the original. That is the best way to visualize things when determining the difference between Machine Doubling and die doubling. Picture in your mind the precise shape of the original letter, and then move it sideways some. If there's anything which wouldn't be part of the original letter, you're not looking at "true" doubling.

Especially on the N but also visible on the I, I'm seeing too much width where the original letter should have a "corner" showing. This looks to be one or both of Machine Doubling and Die Deterioration, where the outsides of the letters literally erode into a "shadow" of the original.

Nice detail pics, by the way. They make it very easy to explain my point.

Edit: Dang. We just dogpiled that poor poster with information, didn't we?
Rest in Peace

Now I could be wrong as I am also new at this and just trying to show off what I learned yesterday. So, I could have jumped the gun. I have many coins including a 1972 s that I thought for sure we're doubled die coins but turned out to be machine doubles.

It is a doubled die, but doubled from a master die. (MDD Master Die Doubled) So what does that mean? Look at this chart below:
1972-Cent-DD-Would-Appreciate-Your-Expertise-Thanks-In-Advance
Note there are only two master dies made. So if both were used equally, then 50% of the hubs were doubled and 50 % of the die were master die doubled. So dies from all three mints could have 50% of the dies MDD. That would make 50% of the coins looking like that. So because of a large number of dies created with this issue, the MDD coins would be very common. The exact number is unknown, but a very large percentage of the cents that year suffered that issue. So it is a common doubled die worth face. How do I tell if mine has the master die doubling? Look at the image below and you can see what they looked like:

So if you the doubling you see is like the images above it is from a doubled master die and common.
