I have little understanding of what feeder fingers are, and why they are known to mark dies, but I believe this coin is an example of such. Anyone have a link to more information about this type of error? Thanks!

On the obverse there might be a die chip in Lincoln's hair around 11 o'clock. And there seems to be a fang protruding from his cheek just west of his mole. These might be from zinc rot.... but they are curious.

Thanks Halo, I looked all over error-ref and couldn't find that. Just didn't think to look under "scrapes".

Buddy, That which looks like a die chip on the hair is just another of the wash spots on the coin. And the fang is a deep cheek cleft from a well-struck coin nothing more. Other than the feeder finger scrapes it is a rather unremarkable coin although in quite nice condition.

But if you would like a 1994 with something going on, here is the 1994 I am getting ready to send off to JC. It looks like a new one although quite similar to some of the known ones.

THanks! But I give a lot of credit to the designer of the 1994 version of Lincoln. It is way more crisp than some of the designs which can be quite hard to photograph well. Some of the modern coins look more like they were made in a Jello mold rather than a die.
Rest in Peace
