I've been thinking of making my own database. where I mark everything. the day of the week, the hour of the day, the weather outside, the teller that gave it to me, is it near to a holiday. etc... then I record each roll down to the year, quality and quantity. (even the rolls wrapper) I mean like could someone actually predict if they're going to get good rolls or not? has anyone ever done such a thing with good results? (LOL - would the tell me if they did?) P.S. One of my better days was the Friday before a holiday. One of the worst was the Friday after a holiday.

My best day to go is when there's money in the account...

I think there are better ways to spend your time. There are too many uncontrollable variables and I doubt that a reliable pattern would ever emerge.
Spend your time on your hobby.

Well, there are a lot of variables, but unless you gather the data you never know if a pattern will emerge. So, if you do it, all of would be interested in the results.
PS: Someone once said to me that after Christmas is a good time-people are short of money to pay their bills and are more likely to be scrounging for loose change. I have no idea of it is true or not.

Oriole has a good idea. Try spending time at your Coinstar dumping sites and look for a pattern, time of day, day of week...then let us all know so we can check the reject bins! Funny maybe , but I've found more people dump through these boxes than utilizing a bank, stoopid IMHO, my bank charges nothing all I have to do is wait a day or so to be credited to account, big deal!, saves a boatload of fees. If only one could intercept the coins from those machines before main deposit, legally of course...

When your addiction needs feeding again! Actually, I have to time by attendance at the bank, when the customer queue is the shortest.

Quote: I think there are better ways to spend your time. Good one! Reading up and collecting coins sounds a much better way to spend time.

I've had good luck in the late summer (August-September). My worst luck is June and July.

I never had to worry about the best time, my banks always called me whenever they had several hundred/thousand dollars in dimes, halves etc...or they'd call when they had a full bag off the coin counter. Saved a lot of time and hassle, I had multiple accounts and things were always hopping.

The best time to go to the bank is when it's closed . Like others have mentioned spend your time usefully . Don't bother with unfruitful data's . However ,the weather has a lot to do with CRH , no need to go there in a hurricane .

Familiarize yourself with RPMs & DDO / DDRs and I bet your project will fall by the wayside.
