What do I need to look for on the reverse? Is it the torch that is different?

Yes, the Torch Flame is different. The flame is more sharp and detailed on the proof reverse while the normal reverse is poorly defined and less sharp. I'll provide you the link so you can tell the differences. Go to this link. http://www.error-ref.com/transition...th-proof-re/Errers and Varietys.

Happy for you E&V! I have found that the 1969 Philly is the hardest to find (in my area anyway). I have only found 1 1969. I've found 8 1970-P & 13 1970-D.

Your welcome Tootallious. Jay4202472000 thank you and that's a lot of proof reverses that you have found. Bump111, keep looking as you will find one eventually. If I wasn't at Shaw's today, I wouldn't have gotten this and someone else would have gotten it and probably would have spent it without knowing it was a rare variety. Also, I should go hunt down the ones from 1970 P and 1969 P on ebay!  Errers and Varietys.

I wish you the best of luck Mark to find any error coins or varieties! I will get another bank box of U.S. Pennies from my local bank on Wednesday and will post if I find anything good. :)
