@Mrzllewellyn, it could be that someone stripped off the copper plating leaving behind just the zinc core. How much does this coin weigh?

Copper plating stripped off using chemicals and electricity. It's a chemistry expirement in high school/college Chemistry class setting.

Underneath them holes - that's what your picture shows!
Realistically you should throw things like this right in the garbage and spend your time on credible error coins that are actually worth a few cents. JMO.

Look, it's obviously not from the mint. Watch my video, it's a science expirement. It's either zinc over copper like Mark said or copper being stripped to reveal zinc underneath (like I said).

I'll look in the hole hang on and redifin Yeah but how do you know that's what did this and theirs is all shiny mine has a matte rough texture

I just wanted to know if there was a tell tell sign but ok if you guys say so. You guys are the ones who have been doing it forever. Just wanted to know how to tell for future findings. looks lIke dirt in holes
