Just so you know.....the edge looks as if this was 'sandwiched'.
Is this normal for this coin?

It's a 2 euro with the reverse from Portugal.

And as the Wikipedia link say, yes, the "sandwich edge" is normal for this coin. Technically, it's known as a "grooved edge". It's placed there to assist the visually impaired in distinguishing the 2¢ denomination from other euro coins of similar size.

You found it in a US cent roll? Congratulations - it's worth 3 cents face value. You won!
