I don't know about a Dryer Coin but it definitely has had the copper plating worn of of the reverse rim exposing the zinc. How exactly that happened who knows -

Someone probably ground of part of the rim. Definitely PMD.

Also, if you click on the link for Dryer Coin, you can see what they really look like. Often times the rim is smushed into the coin.

But the rim is really think on one edge, with no separation line (of a second collar strike)

The coin has been smashed into most likely a hard flat surface such as a concrete floor. Looks like under a pallet in a warehouse, got ground in. These are Dryer Coins:
