This is that die clash penny I posted a week ago or so. I know you're not supposed to post a coin twice but One of y'all pointed out that it also may be a doubled die. I put it on the old post but everyone had already looked at it and I'm not getting any responses. That's why I made a new post. I think I've got the DDO and a clash. I know that has to be a rare find can y'all confirm? Thanks

I'm not seeing the extra thickness on the tails of the nines are your coin. I don't think it is a doubled die.

Good eye John one. I don't see a lot of thickness on the 9s either but on the tail of the second mine has an indent I thought it may make it not look right. But the second 1 is about 1.5x the thickness of the random one I posted that's what made me think it could be a DDO. Thanks as always guys.

The one does look a little thicker but if that's all there is to that being called a DDO - why bother? Not like you could take the coin out and show somebody it and they would say - "Oh yeah, that's a Doubled Die."

Yea I know and have never been to a coin show to show off my collection. My next post will be one that's a lil more obvious, hope you like it.

Sorry was hoping to respond to your update applied yesterday in other post, but was already involved with 4 other coin research projects, trouble shooting two weed-eaters, mowing the grass, two+ hours exercising puppy, one hour training puppy after his exercising, not to mention grandmas grocery shopping. Can't remember, but think I had a nap in there somewhere after feeding the puppy twice.

The new blown up images seem to distort what I originally thought I saw as potential DDO. Thought I'd include the original obverse image here for reference.

Note on your original the two nines seem to show extra thickness compared to the ones.

Note - I did a few random 1991 cents for a side by side before posting in the other topic. All seem to show their two nines width same as both of their ones.

I did a visual of the two enlarged images you posted yesterday using a ruler. Thought the Random coin to be slightly larger than your clashed coin. So needed to rethink on it. Thanks, Doug.

I don't think it's a DDO, but I could be wrong.
