I picked this Seated half dollar up a couple months ago and wanted to see what the CCF Members had to say in comparison to the grade that PCGS gave her.

Beautiful coin. The shield wear is way out of place. The obverse is well struck with a beautiful head, but I think there is light wear on the thigh and possibly breasts. Thr reverse has some wear on the eagle neck and then of course the shield.
I would still say net AU53.

Just misses Unc. AU-58. Center of reverse is light strike, not wear, or maybe even a little Grease Fill. But none of that changes technical grade.

Love that toning and strong obverse strike.

Some light wear on her thigh and shield area, disregardful of that strange light strike on the reverse but can see some light wear on high points. I'll go AU-55

Interesting, PCGS only shows 2 graded by them. a VG8 and yours. Had I looked there, I could have found the grade by the process of elimination....
I wonder when PCGS decided to attribute this minor variety. (The obverse crack, obviously, not the reverse.)
It may well be a newer addition, and prior slabbed examples may have this, just unattributed.
