It looks like there has been some cleaning, but the wear would put it about XF I think.

The mane and crown are blending together from wear, so XF is fair. The old cleaning doesn't really look bad, to me.

US grade EF-40. It's Retoned well enough not to be terribly offensive.

Yes, a decent presentable specimen. I just noticed what looks like a few corrosion spots as well.

EF-40 for me. Cleaned or not, I love these Dutch cents!

Coin cleaning used to be common practice for Dutch coin collectors up to a few decades ago. Just like spraying some varnish over them to keep them conserved. And then use glue or double sided tape to stick them in the collection, of course... Fortunately, not anymore, though.

For the grade, I think a VF+ would be feasible. The lion already has quite a bit of wear and so do the top leafs, so it won't make XF or above anymore. But a good VF it surely can get!
