That's the exact location you'd expect the P to clash to. Pretty darn cool.  Wonder if there was a tilted die involved? One would think other letters in the motto would show over by the date if the striking die were level. |

I was thinking there might be something happening behind his neck and over the zero on the date. I think the mark above the date is just a hit.   |

Nice find Tom - the P is pretty evident and it looks to be a shield line from his hair to his shoulder too.
