I found this one recently I saw that shield clash and figured I'd post this one. It's similar to one coinmasters posted a while back. I see clash marks in three of the bays. What do y'all think?

Strange, unless one of the dies really rotated your pictures don't match up to a normal strike overlay.

What is the rotation of your coin, straight? Another possibility is a single die change and realignment.

Details of hammer die are pretty crisp, barely used and anvil is an older state...?

Willburton, you have a reverse Clashed Die it's just one that rotated. Also check column #7 out because I think I see a doubled column and I'm correct, it's a minor Class 9 DDR. Use a loupe if you have one.

E and V, I'm not seeing the extra column. I did see that there are a couple with clashes that year, and thanks for the analysis, now I'm trying to figure out the degree of rotation. It's tricky

Your welcome. It's tricky figuring out the degree of rotation on the Die Clashes. Keep your eyes out for DDR's for the 1999 Lincoln memorial cents because there are 51 listed on doubleddie.com. I discovered WDDR-051 and sent it to John Wexler to get it attributed and is now listed on doubleddie.com.

Cool, I'll keep an eye out for those. I've been wanting to send one to him as well I've got one that I'm pretty sure of, from 2001-4 I can't remember. Until next time or if I figure out the clash, take it easy guys and galls.

Good luck to you, hopefully it's a new listing. If it is, John Wexler might use it for the upcoming Coin World article on October 16th, 2017. I would say if you have the time, try sending it to John Wexler. :)

That about a 45° CCW rotation? Bay 9 I think is bowtie, bay 8 is fold of beard. Bay 4 would then be lower curls of hair. I don't have a way to rotate image overlays, well ain't learnt it yet!
