I really like the eagle on this one. The oak tree? Meh.

Just another one for you to ponder the grade...

AU 55. It would take a tilt in the light to judge cleaning, or not, but I'd bet that it hasn't been cleaned.

AU-58 minimum, perhaps low MS due to some mishandling. Is luster as strong as it looks? This is hands down my favorite commem, the designs on both sides are over the top.

Gorgeous coin, the half's Charter Oak beats the '99 quarter by about a million miles. I see evidence of heavy die polishing/die wear especially on the rev. Those dies probably only pressed out a thousand or two before feather and leaf detail became completely obliterated. Took heavy punishing strikes to bring up the deeply recessed detail. The brilliant luster adds to overall eye appeal. MS65.

When original, these come with some pretty coloring. This one looks over-dipped.
