I also think it will hold its value, not just for the affordability, but the Mercury dime's popularity relative to the Seated Liberty quarter and Walking Biberty half dollar. terry8835 Pillar of the Community United States 1450 Posts	Posted 10/09/2017 9:08 pm I think the affordability was the reason for the popularity of the dime as opposed to the SLQ and LWH. I got all three and the SLQ and LWH suffer from their size being smaller than the actual coins that circulated. For probably just a few bucks more you can get MS65 versions of the SLQ and LWH for a common date. I got 1928-D LSQ for $400 and it is a piece of fine art in that grade to me. My first set was the LWH but Mercury dime is right up there for me. When was the last time you saw a SLQ with a date in circulation? I can't remember that far back these days.
