Lamination Flaw. and it is not a Penny Indian, it is rather an Australian Penny.

Some Aussie pennies come with either a London or Indian obverse, so I think that's what the OP was referring to.

I agree that it's a lamination too.

So, is it an "Indian" obverse because of "IND: IMP:"?

And does the "London" obverse stop at "F.D."?

I only recently learned what all those abbreviations were about but, haven't translated it to commonwealth coins (if that's even the correct term).

Australian minted Penny Coins from 1920 to 1931 had two different(slightly) Obverses,easy to pick without magnification once you know what to look for.
