Looks like PMD to me. Something hit/dug into the coin and pushed the metal up and apart. Looks like it was dragged across the coin causing a partially recessed line going to the top of the first N.

If it's PMD, it is very clean. It has the appearance of a "struck-through" error. Through what, I can't say.

It looks like it was hot when it damaged it tho I just can't see it being able to make that sort of split by any hit or force with how it spread ?
