i have searched literally 50,000 half dollars form the bank in the last 10 plus years, this is the first clipped one I have found..

I agree that it's a legitimate clip. I can clearly see the tapered rims and Blakesley Effect.

As far as value, the market is difficult to gauge. I would guess at least a few dollars. Unfortunately, there's no PM content to fall back on so it would be pure numismatic value.

Clipped nickel 50c are even more scarce than clipped nickel dollars, in my opinion. That is also a straight clip, which are generally scarcer than crescent clips. To the right collector, you should get at least CAN $35 for that coin.

I would say $10 for a straight clip o a cent. For a half dollar lots more I would think. I would offer on ebay for a $50 start. I suspect you get the price if you are patient.
