This didn't fill a hole, I can't say I need it. This coin is making me sell the other one I have....All that being said what would you grade her? I need to buff out the slab.

There are very few indications of rub, except on the WE which always shows circulation first.
I'm between 55 and 58, but I do like this coin and I think it would make 58.
I recently bought a 1865 65 RB for no good reason. I put in stealing bids on a few items and it slipped through the cracks into my hands. I didn't need it but I love it.
By the way - WHAT DO YOU DO to buff out your plastic?

I have some plastic convertible top cleaner for convertible tops that have plastic rear windows made by Meguiars. On the few slabs I've tried it on its done a pretty good job. Terry cloth and cleaner wax.

Au58 I have a beautiful red brown or red at PCGS right now. The 1871 is 2nd lowest minttage wise behind the 72. The 1871 gets pricey past AU. $400-$600 in ms depending on brown, red brown, or red.

For deep scratches, I use Micromesh. As for a grade. Looks a solid AU-55 and would not object to seeing this in an AU-58 holder. Real nice coin.

I don't see much rub in the pics but I'm going on the assumption it has some, somewhere. I'll grade it AU-58 and a very nice one at that!

 with AU58 too. Nice looking example of a tougher date.
