Hello Everyone,

I found this while coin roll hunting a box of halves. I was wanting everyone's opinion one whether or not this is double due, Machine Doubling, damage or what.

I don't see any doubling of any kind.

I thought it might be a tapered planchet, but the thick and thin ends don't match up ---

so I guess it just got damaged.

I see what the OP means. I think that's just PMD there from getting hit. Still a very nice Half Dollar though.

Yes, your coin has Machine Doubling on the devices.

The doubling I was referring to was on both Ts the and a bit on the A on states

Doubling on those devices and others are MD and not a doubled die.
