Boy, that's for sure, congrats to nickelsearcher. What a perfectly preserved specimen - must have been a pocket piece for dozens of years to get to this point. It's not a coin, so I don't consider it a part of the commemorative coin set, but this example must be unique for what it is.

WOW! Nickelsearcher, that is a thread-theft worthy medal if I ever saw one. I imagine the owner that carried it for so long was Norwegian, and his name was Sven. His wife was Inga, and they emigrated to the US in 1924.

Prove me wrong

What a great piece to own and hold. Congrats!

P.S. - where did you come across such a piece?

I admit to all (no secret) that I'm a passionate collector of honestly circulated classic silver commemoratives ... and other low ball sets.

My long running thread in this forum documents my challenges and occasional collecting victories ... this Norse medal being one of them.

As I recall ... ebay auction with at least two trips to the PCGS wizards to get them to agree with my opinion on authentic and original.

The actual facts are buried somewhere in the pages of my CCF circulated commemorative thread.

Great coin ... thrilled to have it.
