Certainly a stater or shekel with Melkart riding hippocamp obverse. Reverse is unclear to me and may be overstruck. Tarsos? Tyre?

With a rotation in Photoshop, I see that it is a shekel of Tyre, Phoenicia, fourth century BC. As I stated above, the obverse is Melkart riding a hippocamp. The reverse is an owl standing right, crook and flail diagonally in background.

Incredible, my friend. I would never know without your help. I realized the style was archaic, but I turned my catalogs upside down and nothing. Thank you very much!!
