I've used cotton gloves but I don't really like them. So I end up using a white undershirt.

Has anyone tried surgical gloves? The owner of one of the local shops suggested this and I like the idea, but have reservations as those have talc or some such powder on them.

If those work it would be handy as the cotton gloves are always getting dirty and with surgical gloves you could just toss them in the trash.

edit: I just tried posting this but it's saying I need to have some keywords... how about penny, nickel, dime, quarter, half, dollar, gold, silver, foreign, change, cent...

edit #2: FYI to the moderators when I ended up creating 3 versions of this topic because an error kept popping up saying I needed keywords... However the topic was posting... I went back and deleted the others but you might want to have someone check on that... Might have just been a fluke or might be something more than a fluke which needs to be looked at... I'm not familiar with the Snits Forums or ASP in general... If it were a PHP thing I might be able to help

I use white cotton gloves which I wash regularly to keep the gloves (and coins) clean.
I have heard that some people prefer to use latex gloves, and they swear by them.
But you do need to be careful that the latex gloves are non-powdered! Best of luck!

What Snooba said.
I use both also.I like the non-powdered latex gloves better just because I have bigger hands and have yet to find cotton gloves that fit well. I get a better feel & grip on the coin with the latex gloves. You can buy packs of 12 pair at the dollar store for just a dollar, which makes them much more economical.

Latex gloves, primarily, but I have cotton gloves for when I am in a hurry.

Prethen, You have my type of a sense of humor. I like Vise Grips, myself, once locked down, they never let go.

I'll go along with Prethen. I've never used gloves to handle any coins in over 60 years. If I had to be that carefull, I'd switch hobbies.

carl, how do you place proofs into albums? I don't have any problem handling circulated coinage with my hands, but a MS65+ coin... no way.
