Thank you CoinMasters! It's funny how only the L in Liberty was affected by Grease. Haven't seen one like this before. How many Struck Through Grease strikes do you have CoinMasters?

I'm guessing about 100. This is my favorite, my Avatar.

Wow, 100 is a lot of Struck Through Grease strikes! Thank you for the demonstration on how this error happens. Your coin is a perfect example of it.

More of an issue of Die Deterioration. The die was polished off and the Ridge Ring filled in the space. Pretty much a spender to me. There were probably hundreds of thousands struck after the coin was struck. They didn't retire the die at that point. Just kept on using it. Probably thinking: "No one will notice."

Yep, I agree, much easier to see when Coop points it out.

Haha! That's very funny Coppergold! Now that's the true definition of a Greaser. :)
