Wondering when the day would come when I would find something like this. Pulled it in out of a bank roll.

Yea, makes me wish I never saw it. Not as disappointing as it could be. I have one in my collection I found about a year ago that is nice.

I always figured if I actually found something worthwhile in a roll or change, it would look like that.

Condolences.

Good idea John. Maybe I could stick a 2x2 out on the highway for a few minutes.

Keep it for now. When you find a better, give it to a new collector to show them what to look for on the doubled dies. That will help them see the differences.

Nice looking doubled die...
So far - I haven't been able to make myself search the shield cents - for varieties.

But yours is a nice one.

Finding a doubled die variety is always nice, even if it has some damage.
Nice find!

Even though it's damaged, I would still keep it despite the damage since it's a Doubled Die. Still a great find no matter what.
