I thought that the only hanky-panky that went on at the Mints was from the RCM in Ottawa.

Nobody is yet convinced that it is worth that kind of money.

In my opinion, this is not an error because an error is something that happens by accident. It is far more plausible that this was done deliberately. I do not see how a 29 year old Canadian 25 cent piece could ever get into the manufacturing process in a US mint my accident. No US mint was making Canadian coins. I for one refuse to attach value to "manufactured" errors like this. Such things should not be encouraged.

Mark1959,yes, how can we forget coins struck on nails.

One of these days we are going to see coins struck on somebody's sandwich or orange peel or something.

They might be priced in calories, not dollars.
