Hello all. I recently obtained the shown Burundi notes, all Unc, and consecutive serial numbers. I'm trying to determine value, if they are worth sending in to get graded, and where to move them. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks as always, Dave

Based on sold auction prices the 10 and 20 franc are worth getting graded. The 5 franc notes are a maybe.
Hopefully the mounting did not leave creases in the corners.

The top two 5 Franc notes are consecutive, and worth getting graded, they appear to be UNC 64 or 65 on the face. All three types are scarce notes, not rare, but not often seen. For the money, I'd grade all of them. When you get them back, take some good photos, and put them on ebay yourself. Your reserve or opening should be your cost per note, $X/5 plus grading costs/5.

Thanks to all. I have decided to put them on ebay ungraded. We will see what happens. Thanks again for the help!

I decided to go back to the well and buy some more notes. Now I have 9 consecutive 5 francs notes all unc. The question now is, where do I market these? It seems that ebay is maybe not the right place. They have been up there for 5 days now and only 3 views. There must be a better place. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you again for the help!

Most bidding activity occurs in the last minutes of an auction.
Look at your photos and descriptions carefully, ensure you are making the most of your efforts.

Ok. Maybe I'm wrong and Heritage Auctions is right. I sent them photos of these notes, thinking they might want to handle them. Heritage sent me the attached message saying that they are only worth $50 - $100 for the entire lot of 17 notes. How can this be? Please help, as I'm about to jump out my window. Thank you. Hello Davis, Thank you for contacting Heritage Auctions. You have some interesting notes here, which I would value at approximately $50-$100 overall. We would probably need a higher critical mass of value in order to handle these notes, but you can certainly try listing them on ebay or perhaps bring them to a local coin and currency shop in your area. I appreciate you contacting us here at Heritage Auctions. IF I can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. Many thanks, Luke Mitchell Consignment Director Heritage Auctions

Heritage is probably talking about an auction return for one lot, with a dealer doing the buying. Keep trying on ebay, that's where the market for singles and pairs is. Don't be in a hurry if you don't want to take a loss.

As usual, good advice from paxbrit. Presently ebay really IS the market for non-rare notes. Yes, you'll pay transaction fees but that's a cost of doing business.
