Don't know if this one is possible to ID. Host looks like Gordian III or maybe Severus Alexander; countermark looks like Septimius Severus, which of course doesn't make any kind of sense. Plus I haven't seen countermarked Roman coins from after the first century AD.

This is a stretch also but the host coin look like it might be Hadrian and the counter mark looks like either Antoninus Pius or Marcus Aurelius.

A larger picture might help, however it looks like either Marcus Aurelius or Septimius Severus to me.

I agree the countermark is likely Antonine (M. Aurelius, Commodus or L. Verus) or perhaps Septimius Severus. The host coin, then, would have to predate the countermark. The only bit of the legend remaining is "KAICAP" ("Caesar") which doesn't narrow the possibilities at all. I would search countermarks to try to find this particular one and then to what coins it was typically applied. I love a good mystery. Be sure to let us know if you find the answer

I could easily be wrong, but it appears there might be a very worn "T" prior to the "K." If so, I believe that would have to be the "T" of AVT/AYT. Or is there another possibility?

If it is a "T," I think that might narrow down the possibilities some.
