My first star note I got today is very crisp with no folds or creases.I searched and found out the bill was 1 of 250,000 does it give it value it's a 1 dollar2013 star note Also my wife found 3 five dollar star notes in 2012 all 3 with consecutive serial numbers... We are trying to determine to sell them as a group vs. Individual notes they are almost uncirculated since they came from my bank New never used for any reason except that the bank gave them to her in change... How does 1 find the value of paper money like star notes.... What should I look for also... Finding things myself makes me feel better than buying.... I still work Part-time though I retired.. I've been going through coins this past week what I can't tell is whether errors are purposely made or done at the FEB

Newer issued star notes have little if any premium. The older they are they may gain some, it is just not that collectable. I have three consequitive 1957B silver cert stars, whole series of 3, non TPGed notes are barely $15/set. It would cost me $50 or more to submit and certify...gaining maybe a value increase to $45, still a net loss of $8, 3 for face value even. So a common run new issue, where bills have yet to wear out/removed from circulation, etc, etc, blah, blah,...see what I'm sayin'? Maybe if kept pristine for 50 years, but not in today's market. If you see them selling on ebay, it's the hype being purported of the great worth of these, yea, seller get rich right now. I'm against that, dishonest, sorry.

Welcome to CCF MN.
Four districts had 250,000 star note print runs, B, D, E, and J.
Please post a photo, or at least maybe a serial number.

Fuzzy317, your bills uploaded to this site fine. The pics could've used a little more light and rotation, which I did for you this time.

The $1 note is in poor condition so little if any premium. The $5 looks nice,is it a low run?,if so it might have a small premium. Whats with the $2 notes? John1

The 2006 IG* $5 note appears to be from a run of 640k. Same for the 1963B B* note.
