Jeesh... I didn't realize it was a raw coin. The toning looks real and pretty to me but you always run the risk of it coming back as AT. It's really hard to tell without viewing it in hand. Depends on what you paid for it and if the seller makes a habit of cracking out or creating AT coins. I would send it in for grading if you have a 30 day return window.
Sure. I also loaded a video to youtube to show the coin in hand. I'm not good at taking pictures of coins even with the iphone's great camera. The seller has lots of coins and no red flags in my eyes but you never know
Looks naturally toned to me! Just showing everyone in case it may help/serve as a reference for future grading. It is a subtle toning nothing crazy. I think I made out well for AU. I appreciate all the help as always!

When the coin is held straight, it is similar to the seller pics just not as dark. The toning and shine is only seen in direct light when you tilt and rotate it. Do you guys still grade it AU? Down the line if I decide to slab my type set, Ill prob get it graded.
Believe or not, and I never would have thought this from the initial photos, it might go as AU details. Either AT or cleaned/retoned are possible. Either way it should make AU50 and seems like a fair deal for $160.
I agree BH. The best way to arm yourself with knowledge on toned coins is to accumulate a collection of graded examples for reference. That's what I do and it's led to some sweet raw coin acquisitions.
