May be it looked good when it was new, in my opinion, now it is quite unattractive.

That would definitely be a keeper for my "Tales from the Crypt" jar.

Is the coin gold-toned/plated or is that just the lighting? Some after-market job for sure. Oy!

I was just going to say put some acetone in a baby food jar, close the lid and let it soak for a couple of days.
