In any case, what denomination & for what purpose?

25 mm in diameter, nonmagnetic, possibly plated.

Hate to have to bump this, but I'm hoping some fresh eyes on what I'm taking to be a token may be able to specifically identify it. I believe it to be modern, maybe even currently used. Could be transportation related as suggested, but alternatively for the arcade, maybe?

I've attempted to translate it, and it seems to be a transportation token, so I refrained from posting it since crazyb0 already did.

I'll take a look again, be back soon

P.S. I'll only be able to add translations, not information regarding its history, usage, etc.

I asked my wife who is Chinese to translate. The top front says roughly "game service department", the number at the bottom is a pager number. The back has an address in Guangzhou. It seems to be an advertising piece for a game maintenace company.

Let me give it a try:

It appears to me to be a token coin for some gaming halls, quite old style, maybe dated back to 1990's...

Compliment by a fellow coin collector and a Chinese linguist.
