I bought a few Canadian coins/tokens in his Heritage auction a few years ago. Maybe coin collecting contributed to his longevity. He was 106 !

Eric Pfeiffer Newman (May 25, 1911 - November 15, 2017) was an American numismatist. He wrote several "works about early American coins and paper money considered the standards on their subjects", as well as hundreds of articles. Newman sold his coins over five auctions in 2013-2014 for almost $55 million.

His American and world collection was phenomenal but he did have some Canadian in the Heritage Auction including a Canada 1884 Cent in NGC SP 65 RB that realized $55,812 on an estimate of $8,000 to $10,000.

The man was a heavy weight in numismatics.
