a DDR is when devices are doubled on the reverse of a coin. That is not doubling, more likely the start of a die crack or a chip out of the die.

Looks like damage to me. It took a hit. You can see where it goes into the top steps.

Yep I agree. Didn't notice the chip at first. At best it's a die chip.

I see no die chip. It look like a divot and not raised. A die chip would be raised.

I agree it is con contact that made that mark on the center bay. Note how the metal is moved from the original location?
