With Christmas coming up I was wondering what is on everyones Christmas list.

Is there a particular note you want or what.

Or are you planning to buy some paper money anyway?

I generally am not collecting notes but, since I have been working on the Jefferson nickel set, I want to expand to other things featuring TJ. I have a 1993 UNC silver commemorative and will probably get a slabbed Jefferson Pres. dollar proof (el cheapo )

For paper, I would like a graded Uncirculated 1928 red seal $2. A fancy serial would be a bonus but, probably not affordable for me.

I am always planning on buying notes with or without xmas.

Currently trying to complete the fractional notes so it would be those.

After I get done with those I'm going back to coins for a while... I need to up my gold content.

I guess my biggest pursuit this time of year is for the modern stuff, as I'm working OT to get. I'm also looking to acquire a few stacks of $2 bills for spending and $1s to seek out star notes, fancy s/n's, errors, etc.

For classic currency, I'll probably be looking at the 1891 "Generals" series of coin notes.

Steve is talking about the 1928-E $1 Silver Certificate (FR 1605), with a tiny print run of 3.5 million.

Me, I'm on the prowl for a 55+PQ Bison, but I don't think I'll hear sleigh bells this year - I've been kind of naughty.

I'm seeing a Star designation (*PQ) in his wants.

Starts at 15K in Fine.

In 1983 I was attending a business class in California and had an opportunity to attend a California State show where I "almost" purchased a Fr.1136 note. This is a $5 First National Gold Bank note. Didn't have the $$$ then and really don't have it today, so maybe "Santa" has one in his bag of good cheer. Doubtful.

I've never put stuff I collect on my Christmas list.

Now IF I were to add them, this year I'd put a North Africa emergency $1 Silver Cert in the 65-66 range.
