I'm not sure if the doubling is machine or not. You only see what you want to see. Thanks.

Gonna hold off on judgement. Oddest MD I've seen on a copper with that effect...push doubling perhaps? Devices are "somewhat" reduced in size but...not the date...hmmm. AND the Mintmark is NOT affected...curiouser and curiouser...

Called Coop, we shall see.

Thanks. Funny, every time I look at examples I say oh yea, I can see that. Five minutes later I cant tell the difference again. Frustrating just a bit.

Looks like MD to me. The push doubling is a lot stronger. On my phone now. Will take another look on my computer tomorrow .

That date, especially the 3, interests me.

Here is a close up of the 3, which is bar far the best example. The others still are doubles, but I think they are MD, but the 3 just makes you second guess because both are rounded.

Again lighting plays tricks on images. Sometimes when you use two lights, the light meets in the corners. Sometimes if you are using only one light, you may have an issue with a window light or internal room light. I use facial tissue/paper/anything large taped/block unwanted light in the direction the unwanted light is coming. Placing your hand around the coin and looking through the scope, you can find the direction is it coming. If the light is a room like, it will create glare. Once you block it, the doubling/glare goes away.

I agree. Looks like MD to me too. There are no doubled dies for this years Denver mint. I highly doubt anyone will find any after all this time. I don't even look for doubled dies on this years Denver mint.. I only look for RPM, BIE, LAM, and other errors for this Denver mint 1973 cents
