Picked this up on the cheap and this is not my series of expertise...thoughts on originality, grade and whether what I see is actually a S mintmark. Thanks in advance as always!

Looks like an "S" to me and would grade AG-3. Probably still worth a few hundred bucks to the right collector.

I have no doubt about the authenticity of the coin in the original post.

The BCCS has some useful information that not everyone is aware of.

Given this coin's low grade it could be from either die pair--I go back and forth between the one or the other. In the end, the variety is of minor importance to a collector filling the hole in his/her collection.
