The guy in front of me at the gas station spent these on pop and a couple lottery tickets so I asked the lady working the counter if I could buy them (for face). She said YEP cause she didn't want to mess around with them at change of shift. I don't collect Ike's but are these worth saving for some reason? I'm sure an acetone soak would bring back a little life to them but they look just like lightly circulated coins to me.

They are all worth saving! Of course, as I have said before, I might be the wrong one to ask. Even if you do not collect them I think you should hold on to them as type coins at least.

could not agree more with JBuck...Particularly the 1971 P, from the picture it looks very clean, not too many 71P's that are not all beat up with bag marks. Just my opinion

Disagreeing with JBuck on Ikes is just not smart

I'm surprised it took jbuck so long to respond! OK, I'll save them, at least untill I need 3 cheeseburgers and a small fry from McDonalds dollar menu Time to get them ready for there baths.

Ikes are basically bland-looking base metal issues that marked a sorry end to the long tradition of large dollar coins in this country. RIP.

They certainly are worth keeping. Nice examples for a circulated set of Eisenhowers. Of course it would even be nicer with the silver ikes and proofs as well.

Well, I was going to say that if you decide not to keep them I'd give you twice the face value for them But I'm happy to hear you decided to keep them Mark! Good decision

Thanks everyone - I'll give them a nice home. Believe it or not - the only other Ike I have is in the Bicentennial silver 3 piece proof set.

Pretty neat to have a 1976 with the thick letters and a 1976 D with the thin letters on the reverse. I think one of those is worth keeping but I don't remember which it was.

None are in great shape but it's only 4 bucks. Keep them or put them in someone's stocking.

I hate to admit it, but I took a few dozen circulated Ikes to the bank last year. I figured it would cost more in postage to send them to someone that wanted them than they were worth. It was interesting that a couple bank tellers had never seen them before, and I needed to have the bank manager come to vouch that they were real coins.
