Looks to me like your LMC had a bit of grease in the die that prevented the date from striking up fully. We see "greasers" pretty often here on CCF. On the dollar coin, I think that you just have toning. From your pics, it looks a bit mottled, but I'm sure that the coin looks much better in hand. You should consider photographing your coins before putting them into the 2x2s as the resulting pics will be much better. I think that both of these are only worth face value, but are neat finds nonetheless.
