Ok so I bought a lot off ebay that had a bunch of diffrent things in it ended up paying like 65 cents a peice for everything anyways in it I got my first stabbed coin I was checking it out it looks to have some serious MD on the reverse it's like rounded not shelf like. It also came with some sorry INB slabs lol that don't even grade just say early Lincoln Cent one is 1910 to 1919 and the other is 1930 to 1939 but the 1918 cent looks like a nice woodie the 1939 is sorry lol anyways let me know what you guys think

Because proofs are struck twice, just gives more room for error! See MD quite often on them, wait til you find one that really mimicks a DDO / DDR but isn't!

Proofs can get you all excited and leave you in the MD pit.

Also something else to consider on proof coin is called flat field doubling:

Basically still Machine Doubling, but on proofs it is called flat field doubling.

Coop, thanks for always educating us. "Flat Field" doubling is a new term for me. Not that big of a variety collector, but always enjoy learning something new. Thank you!
