Can anyone please help with translating what appears to be a medal with Latin words? The diameter is approximately 23mm. It appears to be silver and the date when converted is 1716...I think...?
Thank you for your help with this curiosity.

You know, you can use a google search. Search for a longer phrase and you will likely get the whole translation. There are probably on-line latin translators, too.

Hmm, interesting piece. I can get us started at least:

Obv:
Hoc templum auspiciis serenis principis domini. Eberh Ludovici ducis Wurtemb: Ludovicoburgi fundatum fuit. XVIII May MDCCXVI

Rev:
Surgit sancta domus coeat fissura sionis.
Donat Ioseph Frisoni de Laino comensis Architectus ital[us] inv[ent].

Here is my best translation, mostly compliments of google:
Obv:
The temple on clear guidance. Prince Leopold Eberhard of Wuertemberg. Leopold county founded May 18, 1716.

Rev:
The holy family is raised in order to crack cohesion.
Joseph Frisoni of Laino, (a commune in Lombardy, Italy), Italian Architect.

I'm sure that someone can do a better job at translating this than I have. Maybe you have an Italian death medal?

By the way, here is a link to a book that references this piece (to bad it is in old German...):

I think the obverse reads

This temple with clear and distinguished omens of the Lord. Prince Leopold Eberhard of Wuertemberg, Leopold fort was founded May 18, 1716.

Thanks to ALL for your help in translating and identifying this very interesting piece. My current conclusion is that is must have been a medal commemorating his name and activity on 18 May 1716. Thank you all again.
