It appears to be a commemorative metal of sorts. It has two crosses on it and John and Robert. So probably some memorial of sort after RFK died to both brothers. It isn't US Currency. It would have all the trade marks if it were (denomination, In God We Trust, Liberty, and a year)
It might be silver. How big is it? Half Dollar Sized?

I assume it is some sort of Token that was passed around after Robert was shot. I don't know how much you know about US History. John F Kennedy was president from 1960-63 when he was shot and killed in Dallas. His brother Robert was running for president in 1968 when he was also shot and killed in California. So most likely I would say your coin is from 1968 at the earliest to about 1972. That is the most likely time for something like this to have been minted and sold.

I am not sure because I can't find the exact one on ebay. But similar styles on ebay have sold for $3-10 in the past. (I searched "Robert Kennedy Token" and selected sold listings only (because you could have a $5 item, and list it for $500, and it will sit there unsold. It's only worth what people will actually pay for it, not what they will try to sell it for.) Best of luck and welcome to the forum. I hope you find more coins and tokens in the future that continue to peak your interest in collecting.

https://www.moneyfactory.gov/contactus.htmlThis is a link to the U.S Bureau of Engraving and printing. If I'm not mistaken they are the makers of commemorative presidential coins. If they can't help you, they might refer you to the national archive. If you can't find anything then it might be custom made or a contest entry presidential commemorative token that never made it to an official design. The bureau should also know what it's composed of along with who designed it.

I do not believe this is a US Mint product. It is more likely a private issue, but not sure of the source.

Is it me, or does the eagle look like it swooped down and attacked a bucket of KFC?
