OK. I purchased a DSLR camera this afternoon to start taking better full coin images. Still in the preliminary stages of figuring it out, but here is one of the Morgans I bought Friday. This is the 1879S with parallel feather. Any comments are appreciated. And, please tell me what I need to do for better images. Thanks.

I'm not surprise that most if not all these coins are cleaned. I paid $20 each for them and they belonged to an elderly lady who probably cleaned them along with her silverware. But they were only driven to church on Sundays.

Thanks Coconutjoe

Thank you for the additional insights.

I posted this over in the VAM forum like SsupeDdave suggested.

So far I've liked the photos you've provided on the different Morgan's. No complaints from me.

Thanks, Mox. This was just out of the box, 18-55 mm lens, tripod, autofocus, ambient daylight. I'm sure they will get better as I learn to use the new camera and add the LED lights. Haven't had a new camera for about 20 years (pre-digital).
