I think I would like to see pics with more light.

I think I see a Half Cent with VF-30 details and very unusual toning.

Hi scmoore61,

I think this coin rates an EF grade for details. As Bilbo points out, the toning is a little strange. It almost looks like there are crevices in the obverse fields that have trapped some dirt. Since the fields should be smooth, I wonder if the coin actually has scattered patches of corrosion.

I also agree with Jim1953; we could perhaps learn more with brighter lighting.

XF details. With either corrosion or some other substance on the coin. Maybe paint or lacquer? More light would help.
Rest in Peace

I actually thought it was a little better, maybe EF45 or even AU50 for details, not that much wear, but as other said, strange toning.

I found the strange toning what was so great about this coin. It almost looks like it was drizzled on.
