I sold my prized 1797 large cent (not under the pretense of selling it to fund school) to get this coin. What do you think?

Do you mean 1820 Large Cent? Instead of 1797?

What a beautiful coin. Let's break down the analysis:
Merits:
1. Beautiful strike on both sides everywhere except on the stars some of which are not fully struck. About 93% full strike from what appear to be early state diea. 2. Beautiful even, uninterrupted luster on both sides of the coin. 3. Beautiful toning with splashes of blue hues. Stunning.
Demerits:
1. Hit to left obverse field to left of eye. 2. Hit in left obverse field to left of neck. 3. Hit to hair above eye. 4. Hit to 'L' in Liberty. 5. Hit to face of liberty running from nose to jawline. 6. Rim hit across jawline. 7. 2 hits to field between 'OF' and 'AMERICA'. 8. Few light marks between 'ONE' and 'CENT'.
Wonderful coin overall. MS64BN. Very choice, just short of gem.

I was thinking 63 or 64. I will go with MS64, because of the clean fields. Exceptional piece for many reasons.

An absolute stunner. Easy solid 64 Brown with superb coloration. That coin is just an exceptional piece in ANY collection.

N-13 and almost certainly Randall Hoard. Really beautiful. Only the cheek and the hit in front of the nose are distractions, and minor at that. Luster and strike are good. My TPG grade MS 64 BN, EAC grade 60 net 55 and choice.

one the best eye appeal LC's I have seen in a while. she's a stunner for sure. at least MS64BN and personally I think it makes 65. those tiny little marks in my mind keep it from 66 not from 65
