I found this one today in a sweet box of nickels. So far I have found a possible 1941 large s,A 2016 clash, 8 Indian/Buffalo nickels (1920,1928,1930x2,1936x3,1937) and a 1945 P silver! Anyway back to this coin. I have no idea what happened. I do believe this to be a mint error,do to the devices still being present. But I would like your thoughts and advice. Thanks in advance!
Correct. But how would all the devices obverse and reverse remain? Also look at the damage on Jeff's head just aft of the face. That area shows striation that a hammer wouldn't be able to produce. There also appears to be some kind'of bubbling.
two things first is the coin round ,place it on another nickel ,and see if there the same , next on the back looks like a small Cud on the rim , if it was hit with a hammer that would of gone flat . so if you have a dealer or coin show around take it and have someone ('s) look at it.some times it's hard to go by pics. good luck
